We are excited to enroll your child in our program. Our commitment is to provide a safe loving and successful learning environment and a quality program for you and your child.
We try to make all of our clients and their families feel warm and comfortable. We have opened our Center to you because we know how hard it is to leave what is most dear to us, “OUR CHILDREN”, in someone else’s care.
On a daily basis we will work with your children on an individual as well as a group level. Our education goals involve learning about safety, health, social, physical and primary needs. Many preschool lessons are basic and geared to help each child at the present stage he/she is at. We will answer questions regarding anything from body functions to religion as honesty as possible. We do not teach religion, however, we recognize religious holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc.)
We feel that learning should be a fun process. We believe that children learn the most from having the freedom to explore, examine, observe and experiment with everyday things. Art projects are done daily and expose children to tearing, cutting, coloring, pasting, painting, sculpting, and other learning skills. Each day we have “Circle Time”, which exposes children to singing, music, rhythms, finger plays, exercises and dancing.
We believe that good childcare depends upon consistent caregiving in a home-like atmosphere. Children grow and learn best in a safe environment that provides opportunities to explore, create and communicate with other children and adults. These groups function independently but cooperatively, following routines appropriate to individual needs. The program is designed to be inclusive of all children, including those with identified disabilities and special learning and developmental needs.
The Center’s program is designed to include both planned and spontaneous activities in response to children’s interests. Experiences with music, movement, art, language and building are incorporated into daily plans. Regularly scheduled snacks and meals, rest time, indoor and outdoor play and routines in physical caregiving promotes the child’s health, comfort and ability to care for him/her. There is maximum flexibility for the children as a group and as individuals. Children are encouraged to develop a positive self-image, to learn inner controls and to cooperate with peers and caregivers. Clearly defined limits help them recognize and accept their emotions and express their feelings as they grow and feel secure in the world around them.
